Banana Bread Roll From Smitten Kitchen’s New Book

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup (65g) brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup (65g) sugar
  • 2/3 cup (150g) banana puree (about 1 to 1 1/2 bananas)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (make your own)
  • 2 teaspoons bourbon (optional, but highly recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Freshly grated nutmeg
  • Pinch ground clove
  • 3/4 cup (100g) all-purpose flour
  • Cream Cheese Filling:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
