preheat a heavy-bottomed pan to medium high for a couple minutes
and brown the brisket on all sides for about 6-8 minutes.
› Transfer the meat to the slow cooker.
› Add the rest of the ingredients to the slow cooker, making sure the
dried spices are mixed into the liquid and not clumped or sitting dry
on top of the meat.
› Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
› Add a good amount of salt and pepper, slice against the grain and
serve in slices, spooning the sauce over the meat.
