Beef Stew Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound stew meat cut in small pieces mixed with seasoned flour
  • 3 large potatoes Yukon gold
  • 1 turnip
  • 1 parsnip
  • 1/4 cup sliced leeks
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup carrots
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 to 1/2 box of beef broth
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 can of peas
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Toss stew meat with 3/4 cup flour add a shake of basil and fennel seed
  2. brown in oil & 3 tablespoons of butter
  3. Salt & pepper
  4. Put stew meat in bottom of slow cooker top with vegetables
  5. Stewed tomatoes
  6. Beef broth
  7. Cook for 2 hours on high then low for 7 hours or till tender
  8. Add 1 can of peas
  9. 30 minutes before serving mix 1/4 cup flour with 1/2 cup water
