Black-Spiced Rum Eggnog

Ingredients

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup half + half
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz. black-spiced rum
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • A little extra . . . the perfect topping:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons black-spiced rum
