Blueberry Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup sifted flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup melted shortening

Directions

Mix dry ingredients into a bowl. Make a well in center.

Combine egg, milk, and oil, add to well in center of dry ingredients. Stir until just moist. Gently stir in 1 cup fresh blueberries or thawed, well drained berries.

Grease tins and fill 2/3 full.

Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
