Candied Pecans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pecan halves
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip together the egg whites, water, and vanilla until frothy. In a seperate bowl, mix together sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add pecans to egg whites, stir to coat the nuts evenly. Add sugar mixture to bowl and mix until nuts are fully coated. Spread the nuts out on the prepared baking sheets.
  4. Bake at 250 degrees F for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes
