Chicken Breast: Steakhouse Parmesan

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare three separate bowls for breading the chicken:

  1. In the first bowl, place the flour and season it lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and minced garlic until well combined.
  3. In the third bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella, breadcrumbs, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Dip each chicken breast first in the flour, coating both sides lightly, then dip in the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off. Finally, press each chicken breast into the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated on all sides.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts, cooking them until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the browned chicken breasts to the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite sides—garlic mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh green salad. Enjoy every crispy, cheesy bite of this steakhouse-inspired dish!
