1. Mix cocoa powder with hot water and stir until all of the cocoa powder has dissolved, to make thin psste almost the consistecy of melted chocolate. Leave it to cool.
2. Melt your chocolate by using any Method you like (Double Boiler,Microwave or Water Bath Metho). For full explanations refer to a previous notes on how to melt a chocolate.
3.Prepare the ingredients; The powdered sugar should be sifted to remove any lumps and the Butter should be at room temperature.
4. In a mixing bowl either by using hand mixer or stand mixer,beat your butter for a few seconds until smooth. If its not smooth and there are any lumps of butter, your butter is too cold.
4. Add 1/2 of the powdered sugar and mix on the lowest speed until incorporated about 1minute.
Scrape down to the bottom of the mixing bowl with a spatula to loosen any butter and sugar and add the next 1/2 of powdered sugar and mix for another minute on low speed.
4. Check the consistency of the buttercream by stirring it with your spatula. It needs to hold its shape but also be spreadable.When you smooth or spread it with your spatula, if the buttercream break apart,leaving little air pockets its too stiff and you need to add liquid.
Add cream or milk 1Tbsp at a time, mixing for about 30seconds to incorporate it and test again.
TO TURN YOUR BUTTERCREAM INTO A CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM
5. Add the combination of ( cocoa powder mixture&melted Chocolate) or ( only add melted Chocolate) or ( only add the cocoa powder mixture) to the buttercream and stir everything together until fully combined.
You can use that buttercream to frost a cake, to pipe some flowers and using it as a filling to a cake.
