Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 cups semi-sweet chunks

Directions

  1. 1. Place butter in a large bowl and cream at a high speed until fluffy.
  2. Add sugars and beat until fluffy, about 4 minutes.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until completely mixed.
  4. 2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking soda.
  5. Add to butter mixture at low speed until just combined and vanilla extract.
  6. Beat on medium speed until blended.
  7. 3. Stir in the chocolate chunks.
  8. Refrigerate batter until cold (preferable overnight).
  9. 4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  10. Drop batter 2 inches apart.
  11. Bake for 12 minutes until the edges are a golden brown.
  12. Makes 36 to 72 cookies, depending on the size of spoonfuls that you drop on the baking sheet.
