Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Beat together the butter and sugars until creamy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, salt, and pudding mix. Slowly stir the flour mixture into the main mixture, using the lowest setting of the mixer.
Use a spatula/spoon to stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop 1-2 Tbsp of cookie batter onto the baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12-14 minutes.
