• ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
• 1 large egg, plus 1 egg yolk
• 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 cup (170 g) semisweet chocolate chips
• 1 cup (100 g) soft caramel candies, cut into small pieces
• 1 – 2 tablespoons coarse sea salt
