- 4 eggs, plus 1 egg lightly beaten for glaze
- 1 cup/120 milliliters heavy cream, chilled
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 quart/1 liter chocolate hazelnut ice cream (see recipe), or other ice cream
- 1 cup/240 milliliters warm bittersweet chocolate sauce (see recipe), or other chocolate sauce
- Confectioners’ sugar, for garnish
