***Coconut Hungarian Rolls

Ingredients

  • 125 ml warm water
  • 125 ml warm milk
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 3.5 tbsp oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 10 grams quick rise yeast
  • 500 g flour
  • Filling
  • 1 cup coconut shredded sweetened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla
  • Topping
  • Shredded coconut
  • Condensed milk (use left over can from above)

Directions

  1. Heat oven at 350F
  2. Cover pan with parchment paper.
  3. Mix by hand water, milk, sugar well until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Add oil, egg, salt, mix well.
  5. Add yeast, mix well.
  6. Add flour little by little, then move it to mixer and kneed with dough hook.
  7. Kneed for 10 min.
  8. Let rise covered with clear wrap and cloth for 30 min.
  9. Make filling, mix all ingredients with spoon.
  10. Roll out dough and spread filling.
  11. Roll into a roll and cut pieces about 2 fingers wide.
  12. Set on pan and let rise covered with clear wrap and cloth for another 30min.
  13. Cook for about 20-30 min
