Egg Rolls

Ingredients

  • More homemade egg rolls.
  • 1)pkg. egg roll wrappers
  • 1) bag shredded cabbage
  • 1) 1lb. Ground pork
  • "Butter Flavored" crisco
  • 1) egg
  • 1)sprinkle of cinnamon (1/2tsp. at most.

Directions

  1. Melt crisco into deep frying skillet,wok,etc.
  2. Brown & drain ground pork
  3. Reduce heat & add cabbage.
  4. Mix together & add dash of cinnamon.
  5. Don't over cook, cabbage should still be crisp.
  6. Remove from heat & drain.
  7. Mix egg in a small cup, set aside.
  8. On a clean flat surface lay out wrapper so it's diamond shaped, add one large spoonful/TBLS of filling to center of wrapper. Fold bottom piece up. Dab egg on the tip of wrapper. Fold sides over one at a time adding a dab of the egg to seal it. Add a dab of egg to the top corner and roll upward. Check to make sure it's closed, no tears or openings. Carefully add egg rolls to the fryer. After a couple minutes turn over, should be nice and golden.
  9. Place on paper towels to drain a bit. Serve with favorite sauce
  10. Sweet&sour, hot mustard, etc.
