  • Asafetida - a pinch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Garam masala - ¼ teaspoon
  • Sugar - ½ to 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - ½ to 1 teaspoon
  • Desiccated coconut or fresh grated coconut - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro or coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
