Directions

  1. soak rice and pulses in water for 10-15 min, then wash & drain the water.
  2. heat oil in a saucepan and fry the cumin & asafoetida, then add beans, rice, salt, turmeric, and water.
  3. boil until cooked, adding more water if required.
