Marble Cake Soft

Ingredients

  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 325 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 220–230 ml milk
  • Pinch of salt (optional but improves chocolate flavor)
  • For Chocolate Portion (swirl)
  • 2 tbsp (≈15 g) cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp milk (only if needed to keep same consistency)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F / 175°C. Grease and line a loaf pan or 8” (20 cm) round pan.
  2. Beat butter + sugar until light and fluffy (3–4 min).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Mix in vanilla.
  5. Whisk flour + baking powder (+ salt). Add to wet ingredients alternating with the milk — finish with flour.
  6. Pour ⅔ of the batter into the pan.
  7. Add cocoa (and 1 tbsp milk only if the chocolate batter gets tight) to the remaining ⅓ batter and mix until smooth.
  8. Spoon chocolate batter on top and swirl gently with a knife.
  9. Bake 43-45 minutes, depending on pan — until a toothpick comes out clean.
