- 5 ml (1 t) baking powder

- 375 ml (1½ c) white sugar
- 250 ml (1 c) brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 310 ml (1¼ c) buttermilk
- 10 ml (2 t) vanilla essence
- 50 g dark chocolate, broken into squares and melted
- 160 ml (²∕³ c) sunflower oil
- 310 ml (1¼ c) strong black coffee
- ICING
- 500 g softened butter
- 50 g dark chocolate, broken
- into squares and melted
- 650 g icing sugar, sifted
- 45 ml (3 T) cocoa powder
- 10 ml (2 t) vanilla essence
- Grease two 20 x 12 cm loaf tins with nonstick spray and line with baking paper.
