Mussels with Breadcrumbs

Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram mussels
  • lemon pepper seasoning
  • lemon
  • BREADCRUMB MIXTURE
  • 1 ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • parsley and garlic chopped
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1 glass white wine
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Scrape each shell and remove excess seaweed.
  2. When clean, put the mussels in a shallow fry pan with a little water and cook until all mussels have opened up.
  3. Drain in a colander, take the mussels out of their shells and season. Keep the good half of each shell.
  4. Prepare breadcrumb mixture by combining all ingredients together.
  5. Place one mussel in each shell and cover with mixture.
  6. Grill mussels until breadcrumb mixture is browned.
  7. Serve with lemon.
