3) Fill brewpot with 1 gallon water and heat to a temp hot enough to put your pinky in for 2 sec before it hurts.
4) Steep cara malt in cheesecloth x 30 min in hot water, then remove and bring to a boil.
5) Add 1/2 oz (about half the packet) of Hersbrucker hops and boil for 60 min.
6) 40 min into boil add entire 1.5 kg can of pure malt extract to brewpot.
7) When 60 min of boil are done, transfer the contents of brewpot (wort) into fermenter filled with 1 gallon cold water. You can pour through a sieve to remove sediment.
8) Add yeast to cooled wort.
9) Store at room temp for 2 weeks.
10) When bottling, add a tablespoon of sugar to carbonate.
