In sauce pan combine corn syrup, sugar, and butter; bring to boiling; boil gently; stir occasionally. Cool slightly.
Prepare pastry for single crust pie. Fit to 9 inch pie plate; flute edges. Do not prick. Place pecans in pastry shell.
Combine eggs, vanilla, and salt; pour cooled syrup mixture into eggs and beat well. Pour over nuts (pecans will rise to top). Bake in 375 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean
