Pecan Pie Bars
Ingredients
- Shortbread base:
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 C flour
- 1/2 C packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Topping:
- 8 oz pecans, chopped
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 C packed brown sugar
- 1/3 C honey
- 2 T heavy cream
Directions
- Cut butter into dry ingredients for base. Press lightly into pan. Bake at 350 until lightly golden, 10-15 minutes.
- Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in honey and cream. Summer 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Stir in pecans. Pour over hot shortbread base and spread evenly. Bake until bubbly, 10-15 minutes.
