Directions

  1. Heat oil in a heavy pan.
  2. Add mustard, let it crackle.
  3. Add jeera.
  4. Add whole green cardamom, cinnamon sticks, cloves and bay leaves and allow to splutter.
  5. Add finely chopped onion and salt and fry till golden.
  6. Add turmeric, ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilli and curry leaves and stir till cooked.
  7. Add finely chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, jeera powder and coriander powder.
  8. Cook for 10 mins in medium heat without lid until all water evaporates and masala oozes out oil.
  9. Add chicken, mix well, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  10. Add crushed pepper corns and mix well.
  11. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
