  • 500g mince meat (mix of beef, pork or veal)
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs, soaked in milk
  • ½ cup parmesan, grated
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • pepper & salt

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together for approximately 4-6 minutes until it forms a dough or ball. This will ensure they don’t fall apart when they are being cooked.
  2. In a frypan, heat oil over medium-high heat and drop in a spoonful of mixture. Cook until brown and cooked through, ensuring you roll them around as they cook.
  3. If desired, in a moderate oven, finish the polpotte off for 10 minutes in a roasting dish, allowing the fat to drip off.
  4. Serve hot or cold.
