Portuguese Milk Tarts

Ingredients

  • Dry ingredients:
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 c. 2 T sugar
  • Dairy:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 3/4 c. whole milk
  • Topping:
  • 1 T cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Combine flour and 2 cups of sugar in a large bowl
  3. Beat eggs, then slowly whisk in
  4. Whisk in butter, then milk
  5. Grease muffin tin, then add mixture, filling about 3/4 of the way up
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, until golden
  7. Immediately, carefully remove from tin
  8. Mix cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the tops of the tarts
