  • ½ cup tightly packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • Brown Sugar Icing
  • 2 cups tightly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ pound unsalted butter, cut into 8 1-ounce pieces
  • ¼ tsp. cream of tartar
