Quick Cardamom Rolls with Orange Glaze

Ingredients

2 cups flour/ 3 cups

3 Tbs brown sugar/ 4 1/2 Tbs

1 Tbs baking powder/ 4 1/2 tsp.

1 tsp salt/ 1 1\2 tsp

1 tsp cardamom or cinnamon powder/ 1 1/2 tsp

5 Tbs cold butter/7 1/2 Tbs

3/4 cup milk/ 1 1/8 cup milk

Filling:

3 Tbs butter, room temperature/ 4 1/2 Tbs

3 Tbs brown sugar/ 4 1/2 Tbs

1-2 Tbs cardamom seeds or 2 tsp. cinnamon/ 1 Tbs cinnamon

Glaze:

1/8 cup orange juice

Orange zest from 1/2 small orange, finely chopped

Powdered sugar

1-2 tsp cardamom seeds

Directions

Preheat oven to 375’. Line baking pan with parchment paper..
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and ground cardamom. Cut in butter. Add milk and mix until just combined. Transfer dough to a floured board and pat and roll into a 10 x 12” rectangle.
Mix together softened butter, brown sugar and cardamom powder.
Spread filling onto dough, leaving a 1/4” border. Sprinkle with cardamom seeds.
Staring with a 10” side, carefully roll dough into a log. Cut into 10 pieces and place into pan.
Bake for 28-30 minutes, until lightly browned around edges. Mix glaze while rolls are baking.
Let cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle with glaze.
