Cook pasta in a saucepan of boiling water following packet directions. Drain. Set aside to cool.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and oregano. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until softened. Transfer to a large bowl. Set aside to cool slightly.
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Add pasta, mince, breadcrumbs, tomato paste and parmesan to onion mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Using hands, mix until well combined. Using damp hands, roll level tablespoons of mixture into balls and place on prepared tray.
Bake for 12 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. Serve with tomato sauce or freeze until required (see notes).
