Yogurt Protein Bagels

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bread flour or all purpose flour
  • 2 cups non fat plain Greek yogurt (Fage purple brand)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 whole egg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and place parchment paper on a baking sheet pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder & salt. Add your Greek yogurt & mix together until the dough forms.
  3. Dust your flour lightly with flour & begin kneading the dough for about 2 minutes so everything is combined. Roll into one large piece & begin cutting into 5 equal sections. Roll each individual piece into a flattened circle & use your fingers to make a hole in the middle. Stretch until you’ve created the bagel shape you like.
  4. Crack your egg into a bowl, whisk & lightly brush on top of the bagels so everything is well coated. Sprinkle on your seasoning of choice.
  5. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes, then flip your pan & bake at 350 for another 15 minutes.
