Pecan Pie Bars


  • Shortbread base:
  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 2 C flour
  • 1/2 C packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Topping:
  • 8 oz pecans, chopped
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 C packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 C honey
  • 2 T heavy cream


Cut butter into dry ingredients for base. Press lightly into pan. Bake at 350 until lightly golden, 10-15 minutes.

Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in honey and cream. Summer 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Stir in pecans. Pour over hot shortbread base and spread evenly. Bake until bubbly, 10-15 minutes.
