Swedish Meatballs


  • 2 pounds ground beef (90%)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup fine bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 3/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water


Preheat oven to 350.
Mix meat, eggs, milk, bread crumbs, onion, and seasoning.
Form balls that are 3/4 to 1 1/2 inch (make sure they are consistent in size)
Put balls into greased baking dish, bake for 45 minutes, turn the balls.
On the stove mix all of the sauce ingredients and cook until bubbly.
Pour over the meatballs and bake for 30-45 minutes.
