Spaghetti Pie


  • 1 (7 oz) package spaghetti, cooked
  • 2 TBSP butter
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup (2 oz) grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (16 oz) can tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 TBSP sugar
  • 1 1/2 dried crushed oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup onion


Preheat oven to 350.
Cook spaghetti according to package instructions and drain.
Stir butter, Parmesan, and eggs into the noodles.
Shape this into a crust in a buttered 10 inch pie pan.
Brown the ground beef with the onion, drain fat.
Stir in tomatoes and tomato paste, sugar, oregano, garlic salt, heat thoroughly.
Spread cottage cheese over crust of the noodles.
Cover with beef mixture.
Can refrigerate at this point or bake for 20 minutes. If refrigerated bake for 30-35 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake 5 minutes longer.
Cut into wedges.
