Five Hour Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds stew meat
  • 1 pound carrots (2 inch slices)
  • 4-5 large potatoes
  • 1 cup celery
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 TBSP salt and pepper
  • 3 TBSP tapioca
  • 1 (28 oz) can tomatoes
  • 1 can green beans

Directions

Preheat oven to 275.
Brown stew meat.
Put meat and all other ingredients (EXCEPT green beans) in a large baking dish or Dutch oven.
Bake for 5 hours.
Stir once or twice during the five hours.
Add green beans at the very end when removed from the oven.
