- 2 pounds round steak
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 (4 oz) cans mushrooms (drained) optional
- 6 white onions
- 6 medium potatoes, peeled and halved – leave whole if they are small
- 6 whole carrots (use big ones)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Heat 1 TBSP coconut oil with saute function. Cut meat up into 2” squares, brown in oil.
Remove meat, add broth and deglaze. Add meat, set HP for 8 minutes, NPR.
When done, add remaining ingredients. Set HP for another 8 minutes, NPR.
Remove everything from the pot and use the liquid to make gravy.
