Slow Cooker BBQ Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless chuck roast (3 pounds), cut into large chunks.
  • 3 celery ribs, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 TBSP lemon juice
  • 2 TBSP molasses
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp ground mustard

Directions

Place beef into a 5 Quart slow cooker.
Add celery and onion.
In a bowl combine all other ingredients and pour over beef.
Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours.
Skim fat off top and shred the beef. Place back in with the sauce.
