7 Up Cake


  • 1 1/2 cups butter or margarine about 3sticks room temperature
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs room temperature
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp pure lemon juice
  • 3/4 cups of 7 up pop at room temperature


Cream butter in a large bowl
At medium speed slowly add sugar
Continue to add ingredients except flour
Add eggs one at a time
Fold the flour in gradually 1/3 at a time
After flour is mix fold in lemon juice
Then mix in 7 up 1/3 at a time
Pour mixture into a prepare pan
Cook Cake for 1 1.2 hours or until toothpicks come out clear
