Ingredients

  • 200 gms butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups cornflakes, lightly crushed
  • Icing
  • 1 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • 60gms butter
  • 4 tablespoons boiling water ( use 2 so icing is not so runny)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • Walnut halves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking tray with baking paper,
  2. Beat sugar & butter till creamy. Add vanilla. Mix in flour, cocoa & baking powder, then add cornflakes. Place heaped teaspoonfuls on tray & bake for 12-15 minutes. Allow to cool before icing.
  3. For icing
  4. Beat icing sugar, butter, water and cocoa till smooth & spread over biscuits. Top with a walnut half. Store in airtight container.
