Apple Mostarda PHS

Ingredients

  • 1/4C. Shallots-Minced
  • 1/4C. Butter
  • 2C. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 4C. Frozen Green Apples -Diced
  • 3/4C. Dried Cranberries
  • 1/2C. Mustard Seeds
  • 3T. Ground Mustard
  • 2T. Cinnamon
  • 1/2t. Ground Clove
  • 3/4C. Brown Sugar
  • 3/4C. White Sugar
  • 1/4C. Water

Directions

  1. Sauté Shallots in butter until soft, deglaze with vinegar add sugar and stir to dissolve. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a soft boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 mins or until apples are soft and mixture is thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Cool completely. Store in appropriate container. Cover, Date, Label, and Date.
