Basic Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted, plus more for the pan
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200degrees. Grease an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with butter.
  2. 2In a large bowl, whisk together the oats and baking powder. Whisk in the melted butter, milk, and egg.
  3. 3Pour the oat mixture into the prepared pan, making sure that the oats are spread out and submerged. Bake until no longer jiggly in the center, about 35 minutes.
  4. 4Chill and cut into rectangles for serving.
