Beef Stifado And Orzo
Ingredients

- - 400g beef
- - 2 tbsp tomato purée
- - 1 x onion
- - 1 beef stock pot / 300ml water
- - 1 can chopped tomatoes
- - 3 carrots
- - 100ml red wine
- - 1 tsp mixed spice/pumpkin pie spice
- - 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- - 3 x bay leaves
- - 1 tsp oregano
- - 1 tsp basil
- - 1 tsp parsley
- - 4 garlic cloves
- - Salt and pepper
- - 330g of dry orzo or penne +700ml beef stock
- - (Optional) Parmesan or another cheese to top
Directions
Method:
1. Add everything to the slowcooker with the exception of the orzo and additional stock - cook on high for 3 hours or low all day
2. Add the orzo and additional stock and cook on high for
45/50 mins until the pasta has cooked and absorbed the additional stock. Different shapes of pasta may require more stock but you can add more if required
