- 2 lb chuck roast, trimmed and cut into ½ inch cubes. Or look for pre-cut stew meat already pre-cut into bite sized pieces).
- 1 package of extra wide egg noodles
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil plus 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped very fine
- 4 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cups of whole milk
- salt and pepper to taste (I use a lot of pepper)
