Bublanina Cherry Cake
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- pinch salt
- pitted fresh cherries or canned cherries (well drained)

Directions
- Beat egg yolks until lemon colored. Mix butter, sugar, egg yolks until fluffy. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to egg mixture.
- Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into egg mixture. Pour into greased 12X8 or 10X10 pan. Sprinkle cherries on top of it. Sprinkle top of cake with 1/2 cup sugar.
- Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
