Candied Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 10 cups mini pretzel twists (16 oz)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cubed butter
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 bag Heath toffee bits

Directions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line baking sheet.
  2. Lay Out Pretzels: Arrange pretzels in a single layer on baking sheet.
  3. Make Toffee: In saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil; cook 3 minutes.
  4. Add Vanilla & Soda: Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and baking soda.
  5. Pour and Bake: Pour toffee over pretzels and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle Toffee Bits: After baking, sprinkle with Heath bits.
  7. Cool and Store: Cool completely before storing.
  8. Prep: 10 mins | Bake: 1 hr | Total: 1 hr 10 mins
