Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and beat well.
Mix all dry ingredients together.
Add the dry ingredients slowly to the wet ingredients, beat.
Reserve 2 cups of batter.
Spread remaining batter into a greased and floured jelly roll pan.
Spread cherry pie filling over the tops.
Drop remaining batter over the pie filling.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
When cool dust with powdered sugar.
