  • 1 tablespoon ginger finely shredded
  • 1 green chili finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/8 teaspoon asafetida
  • 1 bay leafs
  • 2 tomatoes medium chopped (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 15oz chickpeas canned
  • 1 potato medium cubed (about 3/4 cup)
  • 1 cup basmati rice (soaked for 10-15 minutes)
  • 3 cups of fresh spinach chopped (6 oz frozen)
  • 1 cup bell pepper cubed
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon amchoor
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
