Ingredients

  • 1 package 2 oz dried ancho chiles
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped
  • 6 gloves garlic
  • 1/2 red onion quartered
  • 1/4 cup veg oil
  • 4 chicken breast 6 oz each

Directions

  1. Soak dry chiles over night in water, until soft, remove seeds add all ingredients except meat in food processor puree until smooth
  2. Spread mixture over chicken or other meats and refrigerate at least one hour up to 24 hrs
  3. After marinating heat grill at about 400 degrees f, or inside heat smal amount of oil in skillet over high heat, salt meat to taste and grill lightly turning once until done, 4 minutes each side for chk, 8 to 10 min 3/4 steak
