Cream Puffs

Ingredients

  • Puffs:
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 cup- water
  • 1 cup-flour
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. salt

Directions

Filling:

  1. Make any flavor pudding you choose!

Steps:

  1. Make pudding and put in refrigerator to set.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  3. Melt butter in a pan on medium heat. Add water. When it begins to lightly boil, lower the heat and add flour and salt. Stir mixture quickly with a wooden spoon until it becomes a ball in the center of the pan. Add the vanilla extract. Use a mixer to mix in one egg at a time.
  4. Dip a tablespoon in water. Scoop one heaping spoon of batter onto a baking sheet. Space out one to two inches in-between.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes. Once puffs have cooled, cut a slit half way across the top. Squeeze sides and scoop in pudding mixture.
  6. Optional: Top with powder sugar.
