Filipino Bistek Bowl

Ingredients

  • For the bistek:
  • 1.5 lbs ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced into rings
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • juice from one lemon
  • ¼ cup water
  • ground pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp canola or veg oil
  • For the rest:
  • 1 sunny-side up egg
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 ½ cups steamed white rice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp oil
