  • 1 liter skim milk
  • 1/2 cup (250 ml) cultured buttermilk
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Mix skim milk and buttermilk
  2. Place in a pot big enough to hold ingredients
  3. Set on a stove burner on lowest heat setting
  4. Measure temperature of the milk frequently to not exceed 70 F
  5. When the temperature reaches 70 F remove buttermilk from burner
  6. Place on a hot pad, Stir well and cover.
  7. Leave until thickened, 12 to 24 hours
