Mandarin Orange Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Topping
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP butter
  • 3 TBSP milk

Directions

  1. Mix all of the dry ingredients together. Add the remaining ingredients. Beat well with electric mixer. Pour into a greased and floured 9X9 or 8X8 pan. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

  3. Bring to a boil. Pour over hot cake before removing from pan.
